PENDRY PUNTA MITA
MOCK UP ROOM
Role - Lead Designer
Set against the tranquil backdrop of Punta Mita’s coastline, this mock-up room was conceived as an intimate retreat where contemporary luxury meets the effortless rhythm of resort living. Designed as a prototype for the hotel’s guest accommodations, the space explores the relationship between architecture, landscape, and the guest experience.
Natural light, soft textures, and warm materiality shape an atmosphere of quiet sophistication. The layout unfolds seamlessly from the interior living spaces to a private terrace and plunge pool, blurring the boundary between indoors and outdoors. Every element, from custom millwork and curated furnishings to layered lighting and carefully selected finishes, was crafted to evoke a sense of calm, comfort, and understated elegance.
Inspired by the natural beauty of Punta Mita, the design embraces a palette of sun-washed tones, tactile surfaces, and refined details that celebrate both place and craftsmanship. The result is a sanctuary that invites guests to slow down, reconnect with their surroundings, and experience luxury through simplicity, warmth, and a deep connection to the landscape.
As a mock-up room, the project served as a testing ground for the overall guest room vision, establishing the design language, material expression, and experiential qualities that would inform the future development of the hotel.
